Step 2 – Install barrier for moisture.

We know that the COREtec is waterproof flooring, but just like other floors, you need to ensure that the flooring is tested for dampness before installing it.

In this process, you need to install a barrier for protection from moisture. Moisture may not damage the COREtec flooring due to waterproofing, but it can damage the house walls.

Step 3 – Start installing of COREtec floors.

Start planks installation from the left towards to the right. Make sure to put spacers at the ends and edges where they connect to the wall.

Install the flooring and place the initial row well till the end.

Step 4 – Now, the second row.

Use the initial row of leftovers, then lay down plank flooring on the second row. Make sure to keep 8 inches between the adjacent rows and end joints while installing the flooring.

Step 5 – Seal the long edges.

Insert the tongues into the groves and drop them in place to seal the long edges. Put the planks towards the already installed planks and make sure that the tongue touches them.

After that, use a scrap piece to finish the gap between the end of the planks. Use a tapping block and hammer to make sure that the flooring is properly fit. Keep doing this process till the last plank is installed.

Step 6 – Installing under door jambs.

Effortlessly slide the plank under the door jamb. Lock the long edge with a tapping block and hammer, then lock the short end. Install the floorings properly to avoid further damage and again installation.
